  • Dr. Piccinini Picture & Bio
    Robert Piccinini, DO, DFACN

    Dr. Robert Piccinini is an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) board-certified osteopathic medical psychiatrist in private practice and a native to Macomb County.  Dr. Piccinini co-founded Associates In Psychiatry, PLLC, in 2000.  He serves patients in the Tri-County area and beyond. 

    As a Psychiatrist, Dr. Piccinini is a highly trained physician who completed osteopathic medical school from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing.  He completed an internship at Flint Osteopathic Hospital in Internal Medicine followed by Psychiatry Residency training at Henry Ford Health Systems.  Dr. Piccinini received the Distinguished Fellow award from the American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists in 2007.

    Dr. Piccinini is licensed in the State of Michigan and maintains his State of Wisconsin license. He specializes in outpatient psychiatric care. Providing psychiatric evaluation, medication recommendation and follow-up for medication management.

    To stay current with the latest approaches and best practices in psychiatry, Dr. Piccinini continues his training. He regularly attends advanced courses and continuing education seminars, as well as providing lectures to different medical communities, and teaches medical students.   This dedication to always learning ensures that his patients receive the finest, most modern care possible.

    Dr. Piccinini's dedication to the practice of osteopathic medicine extends to his involvement as the past president of Michigan Osteopathic Association, past president of the American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrist, the Macomb County Osteopathic Medical Association, and the Michigan Osteopathic Service Corporation.  He currently serves on the American Osteopathic Association Board of trustees and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners Board of Directors.

    Dr. Burnstein is the co-founder of Associates In Psychiatry, PLLC.  Dr. Burnstein is a licensed physician who specializes in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and psychopharmacology treatment of mental and emotional disorders.  He has been practicing psychiatry for over thirty years and is highly respected in the medical field.

    Dr. Burnstein graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  He completed his residency at the University of Arizona Health and Sciences Center in Tucson, Arizona. Honors include graduating with High Distinction and Exception Achievement in Psychology from Wayne State University.  He is a member in good standing with the American Psychiatric Association and Michigan State Medical Society.  Dr. Burnstein has been awarded for his services to the community.  

    Dr. Burnstein is affiliated with Wentworth and Associates as Medical Director.  In addition, to his extensive psychiatric work background as Medical Director and Psychiatric Consultant for other medical facilities.

    Dr. Nina Palmieri Anderson is board certified medical doctor specializing in adult psychiatric medicine licensed in the state of Michigan. She is a lifelong native of metro Detroit. Dr. Anderson serves patients in the tri-county area and beyond. She specializes in outpatient psychiatric care, providing psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups for medication management.
     
    Dr. Anderson completed her medical training at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit followed by her Psychiatric residency training at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University School of Medicine affiliated programs. She has been in private practice in Macomb County since 1990 and has over 32 years of clinical psychiatric experience.

    Dr. Anderson is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Michigan State University department of Psychiatry and serves as an instructor for psychiatric resident physicians in training at the Michigan State University Authority Health residency program in Detroit. She has served on the Admissions Committee for Wayne State University School of Medicine as well as on the Board of Directors for Wayne State University School of Medicine Alumni Association.
     
    Dr. Anderson is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, the highest honor the association bestows upon its members. She has been very active in the Michigan Psychiatric Society since serving as a Resident Chair of the resident physicians section in 1990, including terms as a councilor then Secretary -Treasurer of the state Psychiatric Society Dr. Anderson is a Past President of the Michigan Psychiatric Society and the current co-chair of their Membership Committee. During her tenure as president of the society, Dr. Anderson worked closely with patient advocacy organizations, such as the Michigan chapter of NAMI, and is dedicated to ensuring that patients in Michigan receive the best psychiatric care available. 

  • Lisa Giovannini, PAc Picture

    Physician Assistant

    A Clinical Psychologist and Board Certified Physician Assistant, Ms. Giovannini has been employed in private practice at Associates In Psychiatry, PLLC, since the practice opened in 2000, specializing in Adult Behavioral Medicine, Geriatrics and Women's Health. She is a Graduate of University of Detroit with Masters in Medical Science and Clinical Psychology. 

    In addition to her working relationship with Associates In Psychiatry, PLLC,  she has held a faculty position with Henry Ford Family Medicine Residency since 2016.  

    In her free time, she enjoys paddle boarding, skiing and spending time with her family.
